Black Notes Music

The second in a two-part Black Notes series, featuring two music headliners and space for 10 open mic performers.
Headliners:
Zoë-Blue (she) is a singer songwriter of Afro-Caribbean and African-American descent born and raised in Toronto, ON and living on Lewkungen territories. Her music features themes of ecology and current events.
Owing his experimental Ghanaian folk to a rich musical inheritance and an ear for Afro-futurism, Pesewa synthesizes a deeply-rooted yet original sound. Blending the traditional stringed kologo and seperewa with wind instruments, electronic ambience, drum machines and vocals, his improvisational live sets inspire both movement and contemplation.
